Design of a new typeface
Concept
A mix of geometry and the alphabet. The circle inspired me and never let go during the design process. Originally, it was only intended for the digital construction of the typeface, but it quickly became a fixed design element of my display typeface and made it special.
process
I started with different hand collages of letters, which I later vectored. In all typefaces, there is one letter that is a special challenge. In my case, it was the letter "F". I tried to make it as readable as possible with different designs.
Examination of the possible font sizes.
Because my typeface follows a basic geometric shape that is not filled with equal weights, I had to think about the intersection. The solution is an arrangement between the distances between the circles and the spacing of the letters.
